Framed steel grating, also referred to as bordered steel grating or enclosed steel grating, consists of a standard / serrated steel grating panel reinforced with a thickened peripheral welded frame. It features a neat, rigid structure with high integrity and excellent resistance to deformation. Its load-bearing capacity and impact resistance are significantly enhanced, making it widely used for trench covers, platform walkways, equipment covers, access covers and similar applications.
Main Panel: Hot-dip galvanized steel grating (plain flat bar or serrated non-slip flat bar available);
Frame: Formed by fully welding thickened angle steel, flat bar or channel steel around the perimeter;
Reinforcements: Internal reinforcing beams can be added for large-size panels to prevent mid-panel sagging;
The entire unit is fully welded, deburred, rust-treated and finished with hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection.
Raw material cutting → Grating panel welding → Frame fabrication and perimeter mounting → Full welding and fixation → Deburring → Hot-dip galvanizing / spray painting → Final straightening and inspection.
Stable and deformation-resistant: Peripheral frame reinforcement prevents warping, deformation and breakage, ensuring high flatness over long service life.
Excellent installation compatibility: Precise dimensions and high squareness allow direct installation into concrete trenches or steel structures with tight fitting.
Higher load capacity & durability: Load is distributed by the frame, suitable for heavy-duty use, pedestrian traffic and light vehicle temporary rolling.
Non-slip options available: Serrated flat bars can be used for enhanced slip resistance in wet or oily environments.
Drainable, ventilated & easy to maintain: Open mesh design ensures efficient drainage, ventilation and heat dissipation, with easy removal of dust and debris.
Corrosion and rust resistance: Full hot-dip galvanizing provides excellent acid and alkali resistance, weather resistance and long service life in outdoor exposed environments.
Materials: Q235 carbon steel (mainly hot-dip galvanized), customizable 304/316 stainless steel;
Grating specifications: 25/30/32/40/50 mm depth flat bars, standard mesh spacing 30×100 mm, 40×100 mm;
Frame materials: ∠40×4, ∠50×5 angle steel, thickened flat bar;
Dimensions: Standard national sizes available, with full custom non-standard sizes supported.
