Interlocking steel grating, also known as insert steel grating or dovetail steel grating, is assembled by slotting and interlocking flat bars vertically and horizontally. It requires no welding with twisted bars, and is integrally formed in one piece. Featuring a compact structure, flat surface and high integrity, it is a type of steel grating with high density, high load-bearing capacity and high aesthetic appearance.
Slotting and cutting load-bearing flat bars and cross flat bars separately.
Mechanically pressing and interlocking vertical and horizontal flat bars into an interlocked structure.
Overall straightening and deburring.
Surface treatment: hot-dip galvanizing, electro-galvanizing, spray painting, or natural stainless steel finish.
Edge banding and reinforcement on four sides for precise dimensions.
Carbon Steel Q235: Normally treated with hot-dip galvanizing, corrosion-resistant, durable and cost-effective.
Stainless Steel 304/316: Acid and alkali resistant, suitable for chemical, wastewater treatment and coastal environments.
Optional serrated non-slip flat bars: Anti-slip and fall-resistant, ideal for wet and oily areas.
Ultra-flat surface: No welding spots or protrusions, smooth and attractive, providing comfortable walking experience, suitable for areas with high appearance requirements.
High structural strength: Bidirectional interlocking structure ensures even stress distribution, resistance to deformation and impact, with load-bearing capacity much higher than ordinary welded steel grating.
Corrosion resistance and durability: Uniform hot-dip galvanized coating with well-sealed cut edges, less prone to rust and long service life.
Uniform gaps: Regular square mesh allows fast drainage, dust accumulation resistance, easy cleaning, and excellent ventilation and heat dissipation.
Easy installation: Customizable in size, mesh spacing and thickness. Can be fixed by welding or mounting clips, convenient for disassembly and maintenance.
High safety performance: High overall rigidity and low risk of fracture; serrated type provides high anti-slip rating to eliminate slipping hazards.
Flat bar thickness: 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm
Flat bar depth: 25mm, 30mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm
Mesh size: 30×30mm, 40×40mm, 50×50mm and other custom spacings
Types: plain type, serrated non-slip type, dense interlocking type
Municipal landscapes, commercial walkways, footbridge passages and viewing platforms.
Precision operation platforms in power plants, chemical plants and pharmaceutical factories.
High-end maintenance walkways and trench covers in hotels, shopping malls and exhibition halls.
Wastewater treatment, seawater desalination and coastal high-corrosion environments.
Equipment rooms, pipe gallery passages and heavy equipment maintenance platforms.
Ordinary steel grating: Welded with twisted bars, with visible welding spots and average flatness.
Interlocking steel grating: Bidirectional interlocked flat bars, no welding spots, flat surface, higher load-bearing capacity and premium appearance.
